Universal Terms of Use - RIX OPTICS

WARNING & MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

When using this product, do not expose it to any avoidable chemical or physical impacts or shocks that are known or suspected to cause damage. Avoid any damage or harm to the product resulting from failure to perform maintenance or cleaning, or from other forms of negligence.

Take care of the device during transport, storage, and use. Protect it from unnecessary vibration, friction, impact, and radiation (e.g., but not limited to, water, sunlight, electrical, thermal, or magnetic effects). Do not allow the device to meet chemicals or other harmful substances; always handle it with clean hands. Due to field use, contamination may occasionally appear in the optical system; in the case of riflescopes, this risk is increased by recoil. If such contamination does not prevent the product from being used as intended, its occurrence is not considered a defect, and we will address the issue at the Customer’s request as part of free maintenance during the warranty period, which may take longer than 30 days. Furthermore, a decrease in the performance of the battery or rechargeable battery providing power over time or due to adverse external conditions (e.g., but not limited to, low temperatures) is a maintenance issue, not a warranty issue. Replacement of the battery and any necessary software updates are the responsibility of the Customer.

If the device allows for the use of convenience features triggered by external factors (e.g., but not limited to, video recording upon firing), their activation (operation) depends on varying external conditions (Caliber, firearm, its weight, use of a silencer, sensitivity settings, etc.)! If you want to achieve 100% functional reliability, use these features with manual activation! Software updates may affect previously familiar functions and settings, but this does not constitute a malfunction.

In the event of any loss of saved calibration data, check the calibration profiles immediately, as most such occurrences are caused by an undetected switch between calibration profiles.

In very rare cases (e.g., but not limited to, when the device is deeply discharged), data may be lost; therefore, we recommend storing saved calibration data on a mobile phone, for example, to enable a costless manual reset. Calibrations that the device may very rarely request (e.g., but not limited to, gyroscope calibration) are not malfunctions!
